Chapter 34
The ambassador to Saudi Arabia and his wife made their way down the ramp into the theater, moving to the first few rows. At the front of the stage was a sign Pequeñas Estrellas (Little Stars) written in large sparkling letters, announcing the performance.
Halfway down the first row, a man turned and waved them over pointing to two empty seats in the front beside him.
“Thank you, Your Majesty,” the ambassador said while bowing slightly.
“Omar, I have told you many times to stop that,” the king smiled and shook his hand.
“A very good habit tha—”
“Would you two stop that? You men say the same speech every time.” Standing up, the Queen of Spain rose to kiss them both on the cheek. “Nice to see you and your lovely wife, Omar.”
“You as well. Is your daughter as nervous as mine is?” The women had a brief hug and sat together before the recital started.
“They have been practicing non-stop for weeks. They will all do fine.”
While the women continued to talk, the king leaned over and whispered to Omar, “I have noticed the extra security. Is everything okay?”
“Possible assassination attempts on my cousin. My family is just being very cautious, as usual.”
“If you need any extra help, please let me know.”
The lights in the theater lowered, announcing the performance would begin shortly.
“We will be fine, but thank you though for the offer. I better sit with my wife, or I will never hear the end of it.” Smiling, Omar rose to switch seats, allowing the two women to sit together.

John Hubble leaned back in his chair and with a big sigh, closed his eyes. Having left the office of the director of operations from a three-hour meeting, he felt totally drained. Not having appropriate answers for his boss was totally out of character for him.
He managed over fifty operatives throughout the world daily, and each of them was tasked with gathering various pieces of information through any possible means, juggling all that data in his head was not a problem. Having a boss who demanded answers when he had none that he could share, was a greater challenge. There was also the warning from Derek, that they may be compromised, so he is keeping some information tight and close.
Susan Talbot started out as an analyst for the CIA straight from college and rose through the ranks rather quickly. She had been a station chief for many of the world’s hot spots and had recruited talent across the globe. At the age of fifty-seven, she all the ins and outs of the CIA, and preferred the clandestine services.
However, with the recent turn of events, John had some doubts. With Susan’s contacts, he would have no doubt she would know what was going on with Grant Lawson, but she knew nothing.
Or at least she said she knew nothing…
If John knew enough information garnered throughout the decades, to topple governments, Susan surely knew enough information to start a global war. So practically ordering John to forget about the situation with Grant seemed unacceptable.
